The Tax Council (TTC), which was created in 1966, is a non-profit organization comprised of major corporations, accounting and consulting firms, and trade associations. Our main goal is to promote sound tax and economic policies by:
- providing a regular forum (luncheons and conferences) at which key tax policy decision makers from the U.S. Congress, Executive Branch and private sector meet with members to discuss important current tax issues;
- sponsoring an annual three-day Spring Tax Policy Conference; and
- developing tax policy information and positions that are transmitted to appropriate parties through Congressional testimony, white papers, letters and meetings.

The Tax Council is affiliated with the Tax Council Policy Institute (TCPI), a non-partisan and non-profit 501(c) (3) education and public policy research organization. TCPI was created to bring about a better understanding of federal tax policies through programs that subject those policies to careful study, thoughtful evaluation and open discussion. Each year TCPI hosts its annual symposium in February in Washington, DC. For additional information, please visit www.tcpi.org.
